What is Nipah virus
Nipah virus is a zoonotic disease. This virus is found in the urine of bats which causes serious illness in humans. in patients suffering from this virus, more then one symptom is found, such a disease like Asymptomatic infection, acute Respiratory illness, and fatal Encephalitis, in addition to this virus also succumb to other animals such as pigs, etc.
There are many types of NIV infections in Humans which are divided into different clinical presentations such as asymptomatic infection, acute respiratory syndrome and Fatal Encephalitis. apart from this, it can also make other pets a victim of this disease. There is no Vaccine available that humans and animals can be saved. one special thing to note is that the most important treatment for this disease is that patients need intensive supportive care it happens.

How does the Nipah virus spread
The disease is spread by fruit-dwelling bats on Genus Peropopus, which are the natural reservoir hosts of Nipah and Hendra virus. this virus is present in the urine of bats.
The first incident of Nipah virus infection occurred when pigs in Malaysian farms came into contact with bats, which had lost their home due to deforestation.
Nipah virus infection is a very new disease that is mainly found in animals and spreads in humans from them. the natural host of this virus is fruit-eating bats. it belongs to the family of pteropodidae and belongs to the Pteropus Genus.
Where did the Nipah virus first come
The infection of the Nipah virus derives its name from a village in Malaysia from which the virus was first isolated for the disease.
The virus showed its death in Malaysia from September 1998 to April 1999. infection of Nipah virus was first identified in a major outbreak of 265 suspected cases, contact with sick pigs or close contact with Nipah virus-infected patients. were in physical contact and then mainly introduced to Encephalitis. it was mainly found by bigs. but after that whenever the outbreak of NIV was seen, no intermediate hosts were found there, this virus was seen in Bangladesh in 2004 when this virus went on infecting humans as well.
Symptoms of Nipah virus
Human infection usually presents as an Encephalitic Syndrome marked as Fever, Headache, Drowsiness disorientation, Deceptive, mental confusion, Coma, etc. and potentially death during outbreaks in Malaysia so that clinically percentage of apparent human cases be killed. there is no specific treatment for the Nipah virus. the primary treatment for human cases is intensive supportive care.

Treatment of this virus
At present, there are no specific drugs or vaccines available for Niv infection, but still according to priority Disease, it is W.H.O k&D Blueprint has been ranked yes there is one thing we can definitely do like intensive supportive care of patients so that severe Respiratory and Neurologic Compilation can be brought under control to a great extent.
1. How to avoid this disease
How to avoid the disease due to not having the right Licenced vaccine available, if this disease is to be prevented from spreading then we have to raise awareness among the people.
2. Bat to people Transmission
Our greater focus is to prevent bats from coming in contact with date palm sap and other Fresh Food product. if we keep bats away from such sap collection sites, then we can prevent them from becoming infected to a great extent. For this, we can use protective coverings such as Bamboo sap skirts. Apart from this, Freshly collected date palm juice should boil properly and fruits should be washed thoroughly and eat.
3. Animal to Human Transmission
Always wear Gloves and Mask before going to the afflicted animal. if they die then criminate them in the right supervision so that no other animal has any problem.
4. Human to human transmission
Always protect yourself before meeting the victim so that you do not need to come to their physical contact. apart from this, you should also wash your hands after seeing the patients.
