Sundar Pichai, a Tech- executive of Indian origin, has also been made CEO of parent company Alphabet 4 years after he was elected CEO of Google. Significantly, all products and services of Google are covered under Alphabet.

It is reported that both Google founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page are now leaving their posts. Larry page resigned as the CEO of Alphabet, while Sergey Brin stepped down as President of Alphabet.

Although both of them will remain with the company as co-founders and board of directors. The special thing here is that now Sundar Pichai will have many new responsibilities.

Sundar Pichai’s real name is Pichai Sundararajan. He was born in 1972 in a middle-class family in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. He has a Bachelor of Engineering degree from IIT Kharagpur. It was here that he met Anjali and later married her.

Pichai received a silver medal in his batch. He then earned a master’s degree from Wharton University.

After completing his studies, he joined McKinsey & Companies and joined Google in 2004 as a product and innovation officer.

He then played an important role in the development of Google chrome, chrome OS (Google Chrome ) and Google Drive.

After that, he also worked on the development of Gmail (Gmail) and Google Maps. In 2013, Pichai was also given an important role in Android.

Sundar Pichai has worked for almost every major product of Google and all those products have made great progress during his stay. He has been active in Gmail, Google Chrome, Google Drive and Chrome OS.

Under the leadership of Pichai, Google is the leader in all the significant trends like cloud, mobile, search, and advertising. Not only this, but the company is also ahead in spending on new technology.

Pichai also revived Google from controversies like privacy, hate statements, misinformation, and political discrimination. Under Pichai’s leadership, Google’s annual ad revenue grew 85% in the last three years 4.35 lakh crores in 2015, reached 8.31 lakh in 2018.

At the same time, Google’s ad business accounts for 85% of the Alphabet’s revenue.

The company has been consistently profitable for the last 15 quarters. Alphabet’s total revenue last year was RS. 9.52 lakh crore. In the last four years, the company’s stock has given more than 80% returns.

It is said that Twitter had offered a job to Pichai in 2011, but Google stopped him by giving him $ 50 million (Rs 305 crore).

According to the portal ‘’, which presents statistics related to the earnings of celebrities and business leaders, Pichai has assets of about $600 million or about Rs 43,200 crore. In this way, he is one of the richest corporate executives in the world.

After working at Google for 15 years, Sundar Pichai is now at the peak of his career. Ivan Fenseth, director (research) of Tigress Financial Partners, says that there was always hope that one day Pichai would be given more responsibilities. He is the right person to lead the Alphabet.

After being made Ceo of Alphabet, Sundar Pichai thanked Google’s co-founders – Larry Page and Sergey Brin and said that he was excited about the new transition.
